Engagement Shooting of Lillian & Vittorio at the Albertina, Hofburg and Heldenplatz
Having lived in a city your whole life, you sometimes forget how beautiful and breathtaking it really is. I am glad that Lillian and Vittorio gave me the possibility to take a second look at the beauty that has been in front of my eyes for so long. Sometimes, you just need an Italian-American couple, to show you what’s best in your home town. That brings me to say a few words about the shooting with these two internationals, who fell in love and stranded in Vienna. From the get go everything felt super natural. It was interesting to get to know them throughout the shooting and reflect their relationship through their images. A bit shy at the beginning, they warmed up quickly and showed their energetic, fun, relaxed and polite personalities. Most of all, I could feel their strong connection, appreciation and respect for each other, the corner stones for a successful shooting. After all, we had great fun and enjoyed a beautiful time together. I can’t wait for their wedding next year and hope you can enjoy their story as wel.
Vienna engagement shooting locations for photography: Albertina, Hofburg, and Heldenplatz.
Vienna is a city packed with monumental buildings, so it’s hard to decide where to shoot. Santiago and I decided to start at the Albertina as it has the beautiful opera house in the background. Shooting in Vienna turned out to be really fun because the light, sandstone-coloured buildings give the images a great atmosphere and tone. We tried to incoorporate all the exciting elements such as the gate (Heldentor), the statues, the magnificent columns and the backdrops of the monuments to create an exciting and inspiring look.
